Product detailed description
All-Season Merino Wool Sleeping Bag 100 cm for Growing Children
Your child may no longer be a baby, but still love their sleeping bag. This is something we often hear from parents. Children who have slept in a sleeping bag from an early age frequently want to continue using one as they grow. A Merino wool sleeping bag 100 cm gives them more room while preserving the familiar way of sleeping they are used to.
The inside is made from a soft Merino wool knit, which naturally helps manage moisture and supports comfortable temperature regulation. The outer layer is made from 100% cotton in a warm brown shade with a playful pattern of white sheep.
The sleeping bag has a TOG rating of 0.67 and is suitable for room temperatures of approximately 19–25 °C. Always adjust the clothing worn underneath according to the actual room temperature and your child's individual needs.
Sleeping bags for growing children? Why not?
Sleeping bags are often associated mainly with babies, but in practice parents frequently look for larger sizes because their child has slept in one from an early age, feels comfortable in it and does not want to switch to a traditional blanket.
If this way of sleeping works well for your child, there is no need to change it simply because they are getting older. The important thing is to choose the right length, providing enough room for the legs while ensuring that the upper part fits correctly.
Simply explained: Merino does more than keep you warm
When people think of Merino wool, warmth is often the first thing that comes to mind. In a sleeping bag, however, its ability to manage moisture and help maintain a comfortable microclimate around the body is just as important.
During the night, your child may become warmer, cooler or perspire. Merino helps manage excess moisture and supports comfortable temperature regulation. This is why we also use it in this all-season sleeping bag with a TOG rating of 0.67.
- helps support comfortable temperature regulation,
- helps manage excess moisture,
- is breathable,
- the soft knit feels pleasant to the touch,
- Merino wool naturally helps reduce the build-up of unpleasant odours.
How to choose the right 100 cm sleeping bag size
A 100 cm sleeping bag does not mean it is intended for a child who is 100 cm tall. Your child's head remains outside the sleeping bag, so we recommend measuring from the shoulders to the feet.
There should be enough room in the lower section for your child to bend, stretch and move their legs comfortably. At the same time, it is important that the sleeping bag is not too loose around the neckline and armholes.
If you are unsure which length to choose, read our guide on how to choose the right sleeping bag size. It includes measuring instructions and practical advice to help you choose.

Our experience from making sleeping bags: “My child doesn't want to sleep without one”
With larger sleeping bags, parents often tell us the same thing: their child has been used to sleeping in one from an early age and simply does not want to sleep without it. The sleeping bag has become part of their bedtime routine, just like a favourite pillow or soft toy.
This is why we have gradually expanded our range up to the 100 cm length. And even this does not have to be the end – if your child needs a larger sleeping bag, we can also make selected sizes to order.
Need an even larger sleeping bag?
Requests for large children's sleeping bags are not unusual. That is why we can also make sleeping bags in 140 cm and 150 cm lengths to order. These larger sizes are especially useful for children who have outgrown the standard sizes but are used to sleeping in a sleeping bag and want to continue.
If you need a non-standard size, please contact us. We will be happy to discuss the available design options and materials with you.
Plenty of room for growing and active children
Growing children naturally move during sleep. They turn, bend their legs, stretch and change position. The lower part of the sleeping bag therefore provides enough room for comfortable and natural movement.
The sleeping bag moves together with your child and, unlike a loose blanket, cannot simply be kicked to the other side of the bed during the night.
How to choose: bigger is not automatically better
With a 100 cm sleeping bag, it can be tempting to choose an even larger size straight away so that it lasts as long as possible. However, we do not recommend choosing a sleeping bag this way.
The correct size should provide enough room for the legs while fitting properly around the neckline and armholes. Choose according to your child's current measurements rather than simply how long you would like the sleeping bag to last.
A practical two-way zipper
The two-way zipper allows the sleeping bag to be conveniently opened from either direction, making dressing and everyday use easier.
How to care for a Merino wool sleeping bag
Merino does not need to be washed after every use. If the sleeping bag is not dirty, thorough airing is often sufficient. Washing less frequently also helps reduce unnecessary wear on the material.
When washing is necessary, use a wool programme at a maximum of 30 °C. Choose a detergent suitable for wool, use a low spin speed and do not use fabric softener. Always follow the care instructions on the product label.
For more detailed information, read our guide on how to wash Merino wool correctly, where we explain washing, drying and everyday care of Merino products.
Frequently asked questions about the 100 cm Merino sleeping bag
What size child is a 100 cm sleeping bag suitable for?
We recommend choosing the size according to your child's shoulder-to-feet measurement rather than age or total height alone. There should be enough room for leg movement while the upper part fits properly around the neckline and armholes.
Is my child too old for a 100 cm sleeping bag?
No. If your child is used to sleeping in a sleeping bag and feels comfortable sleeping this way, there is no need to switch to a traditional blanket simply because of their age. Choosing the correct size is what matters.
Are sleeping bags available in sizes larger than 100 cm?
Yes. We can also make sleeping bags in 140 cm and 150 cm lengths to order. Parents often request these larger sizes for children who have been used to sleeping in a sleeping bag from an early age and want to continue.
Is a Merino sleeping bag only suitable for winter?
No. This model has a TOG rating of 0.67 and is suitable for room temperatures of approximately 19–25 °C. We also use Merino for its ability to manage moisture and support comfortable temperature regulation.
What should my child wear underneath the sleeping bag?
Adjust the clothing layers according to the actual room temperature and your child's individual needs. The amount of clothing underneath can be adapted to the conditions in the room.
How often should I wash a Merino wool sleeping bag?
If it is not dirty, thorough airing is often sufficient. When washing is necessary, use a wool programme at a maximum of 30 °C, a suitable wool detergent, a low spin speed and no fabric softener.
Where is the sleeping bag made?
Our sleeping bags are designed and made in the Czech Republic.
