Product detailed description

90 cm Merino Wool Sleeping Bag for Children Who Move Around at Night

Rolling onto their side, stretching their legs and then ending up on the other side of the cot – as children grow, they often become increasingly active during sleep. A traditional blanket can quickly end up somewhere it is no longer useful. This all-season Merino wool sleeping bag 90 cm moves together with your child and stays comfortably in place as they change position.

The inside is made from a soft Merino wool knit, which naturally helps regulate thermal comfort and manage excess moisture. On the outside, we use 100% cotton with a gentle beige pattern of small white bunnies.

With a TOG rating of 0.67, this all-season sleeping bag is suitable for room temperatures of approximately 19–25 °C. You can then adjust the clothing worn underneath according to the actual temperature in the bedroom.

Merino wool helps create a comfortable microclimate

Merino wool is useful for much more than simply keeping the body warm. One of its key qualities is its ability to respond to the conditions around the body. It helps manage excess moisture while supporting comfortable temperature regulation as conditions change.

This is exactly why we use Merino wool in our all-season sleeping bags. The aim is not to make the warmest possible sleeping bag, but to use a natural material that helps create a comfortable environment for sleep in different conditions.

  • helps support natural temperature regulation,
  • helps absorb and manage excess moisture,
  • is breathable,
  • the soft knit feels pleasant against the skin,
  • Merino wool naturally helps reduce the build-up of unpleasant odours.

How to choose a 90 cm sleeping bag

The 90 cm measurement refers to the length of the sleeping bag, not the recommended height of the child. This is why choosing a sleeping bag only according to your child's overall height or age can be misleading.

Your child's head remains outside the sleeping bag, so we recommend measuring from the shoulders to the feet. There should be enough space inside for comfortable leg movement, while the neckline and armholes should still fit properly and should not be unnecessarily loose.

If you are unsure whether 90 cm or another length is right for your child, take a look at our guide to choosing the right sleeping bag size. It explains how to measure your child and what to consider when choosing between sizes.

Freedom to move without kicking off the covers

As children grow, they need plenty of room to move while sleeping. The shape of the sleeping bag allows your child to bend and stretch their legs naturally and change position whenever they need to.

At the same time, the sleeping bag moves together with your child instead of sliding to the edge of the cot like a traditional blanket. This combines freedom of movement for little legs with a comfortably covered upper body.

Two-way zipper for easier everyday use

The practical two-way zipper makes the sleeping bag easy to open whenever needed. It simplifies dressing and allows you to open the lower section for a nappy change without having to take your child completely out of the sleeping bag.

Merino wool does not need unnecessary washing

Merino products often benefit more from airing than from frequent washing. If the sleeping bag is not dirty, simply leave it to air thoroughly after use.

When washing is necessary, wash at a maximum of 30 °C using a wool programme. Use a detergent suitable for wool, select a low spin speed and avoid fabric softener. Always follow the care instructions on the product label.

Why use a sleeping bag for an older child?

Growing out of the smallest sleeping bags does not necessarily mean that a child has to switch to a traditional blanket. In fact, older children can become even more active during sleep and may quickly kick or push a loose blanket aside.

A correctly sized baby and toddler sleeping bag provides room for natural movement while staying with the child as they roll over and change position. Choosing the right length as your child grows is therefore an important part of keeping the sleeping bag comfortable.

Frequently asked questions about the 90 cm Merino sleeping bag

What size child is a 90 cm sleeping bag suitable for?

It is better not to choose solely according to age or overall height. Measure your child from the shoulders to the feet and use this measurement when selecting the appropriate sleeping bag length. There should be enough room for the legs while the neckline and armholes fit properly.

Is there enough room to move in a 90 cm sleeping bag?

Yes. The sleeping bag is designed to provide space for your child to bend and stretch their legs and naturally change position during sleep. A correctly chosen size should not restrict normal movement.

Is TOG 0.67 suitable for year-round use?

We describe this model as an all-season sleeping bag and recommend it for room temperatures of approximately 19–25 °C. Always consider the actual room temperature, the clothing worn underneath and your child's individual needs.

Why is Merino wool used inside the sleeping bag?

We use Merino wool for its natural temperature- and moisture-regulating properties. It helps create a comfortable microclimate around the body, making it particularly useful in products designed for sleep.

How should I wash the Merino sleeping bag?

If the sleeping bag is not dirty, airing it is often sufficient. When washing is necessary, use a wool programme at a maximum of 30 °C, select a low spin speed and use a detergent suitable for wool. Do not use fabric softener and always follow the instructions on the product label.

Where is the sleeping bag made?

Our sleeping bags are designed and made in the Czech Republic.
